Astron 2023 Limited Edition. With the strong, sleek lines of the Seiko Astron, the world's first commercially available quartz watch, today's Astron is designed for a new generation of leaders, breaking through to the future with excellence in both innovation and style. Available only in a controlled production run of 1,200, with the serial number engraved on each case back, this exceptional limited edition combines solid tailoring with the highest degree of accuracy possible in a wristwatch. Powered by Seiko's new GPS solar caliber 5X53, this landmark timepiece is GPS controlled for high-speed time and time zone adjustment to 39 time zones, and includes a daylight saving time function, perpetual day and date calendar correct to the year 2100, and am/pm indicators. The unique time transfer function allows wearers to switch between the main dial time and the dual time sub-dial at the push of a button. To ensure smooth operation, the watch is equipped with a signal reception result indicator and power save function. The solar cell is powered by light energy, with no battery change required. With a radial pattern suggesting the explosive power of a supernova, the rich green gradation dial features sharp and highly visible three-dimensional applied indices, as well special blue glowing LumiBrite hands and markers, rose gold accents and a date calendar, and is framed by a black sapphire crystal bezel providing subtle dimensionality, shine and enhanced scratch-resistance.
